Colleges are governed by federal, state, and local civil rights laws, including Section 504, ADA, Title IX, and Title VI that prohibit discrimination on the bases of many protected classes, including as disability, sex, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, race, color, national origin, shared ancestry and ethnic characteristics.
