BCcampus Open Education: Accessibility Toolkit (2nd Edition)

This toolkit, made available by BCcampus, is on online and open access textbook that provides "resources for each content creator, instructional designer, educational technologist, librarian, administrator, and teaching assistant to create a truly open textbook - one that is free and accessible for all students." The book is organized into two main sections: Key Concepts and Best Practices. The Key Concept section discusses universal design and the use of personas. The Best Practices section covers 11 topics related to accessible design including: Organizing Content, Images, Links, Tables, Multimedia, and more. The toolkit also includes three appendices that cover the following topics: Accessibility Checklist, Redesign or Accommodation Activity Guidelines, and Inclusive Design Webinar Series.
