Accessible Learning Across the Lifespan: People With Disabilities in the Workforce

This video, provided by the Described and Captioned Media Program, is the final part in a four-part series titled Accessible Learning Across the Lifespan. The series is dedicated to guiding instructional, website, and program designers in proactively creating accessible learning and work environments for individuals with disabilities. Throughout the video, individuals and experts in accessibility share insights on ways that supervisors and coworkers can accommodate and assist individuals with disabilities, creating a more comfortable and inclusive workplace. Emphasis is placed on communication by reaching out to workers and understanding their unique needs. The video also includes advice on increasing coworker sensitivity towards those with disabilities, along with practical tips on workplace accommodation.
