The Seeking Opportunities for an Advocacy Revolution (SOAR) conference is taking place from October 27-29, 2023 at the Marriott Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a conference made by self-advocates for self-advocates. 

The SOAR conference is hosted every 2 years by the Heartland Self-Advocacy Resource Network in a different state. This year, the Self-Advocacy Coalition of Kansas (SACK) and the Kansas University Center on Developmental Disabilities (KUCDD) are leading planning activities. They have partnered with UCEDDs and other disability organizations from the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming to plan this exciting regional conference.
