Sign Language Interpreters in the Classroom
This webpage, from the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes, includes a 2-page tip sheet that provides information about sign language interpreters in the classroom. This resource includes a brief overview and discusses the following questions: what is the role of the interpreter in the classroom, what should I do if my student is performing poorly in the classroom, and what can I do to make the class rewarding for the student and manageable for the interpreter. Sections on related resources and references are also included. The webpage includes an English and Spanish version of the tip sheet.
