Game Accessibility Guidelines

This website includes guidelines for inclusive game design. This straightforward reference provides game design suggestions ranging from Basic (easy to implement, wide reaching and applies to almost all game mechanics), to Intermediate (requires some planning and effort), to Advanced (complex adaptations for profound impairments and specific niche mechanics). The website is first divided into the following sections Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Full List, and Why and How. Each section provides guidance on the following topics: Motor (Control / mobility), Cognitive (Thought / memory / processing information), Vision, Hearing, Speech, and General. The Why and How section of the website discusses why accessibility matters and provides information on how to work with the guidelines.
