UDL Tips for Designing Learning Experiences

This tip sheet from CAST provides five Universal Design for Learning (UDL) tips that educators can consult for designing learning experiences. Based on the UDL framework, the tips include the following:

  • Start with a clear goal.
  • Encourage flexible means to achieve the goal.
  • Ensure all learners can access the materials and environment.
  • Make learning personally relevant.
  • Promote expert learning.
