The World of Possibilities Disabilities Expos are increasing in popularity and are now the region's most important forum for disability-related resources. Everyone within the disabilities community, including children with disabilities and their families, caregivers/service providers, veterans, and baby-boomers should all be there!

This conference is for Kansas youth (ages 14-21) who have disabilities and their families. Educators and others who believe all youth should have the opportunity to work, live, and play in their communities are also welcome to attend.

The training is designed to help youth, their families, and others learn about how to prepare for life after high school.

The conference will include resources and the steps to take before and after leaving school including attending college, employment, and living as independently as possible. Real-life stories will be shared by self-advocates who are following their dreams.

The conference also includes basics about the supports and services available from local workforce centers, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and independent living centers to help youth and families navigate the services they need.

TASH is celebrating those who have made history in the disability field, and who have worked tirelessly in the legal field for equity, opportunity, and inclusion for people with disabilities. A half-day legal symposium will explore Inclusion as a Human and Civil Right: Past, Present, and Future Legal and Advocacy Implications followed by an award celebration honoring Judith Gran for her exceptional leadership in disability law.

The International Research Conference is a federated organization dedicated to bringing together a significant number of diverse scholarly events for presentation within the conference program. Events will run over a span of time during the conference depending on the number and length of the presentations. The Thompson Policy Institute invites you to the 2020 DisAbility Summit, which will take place virtually. The DisAbility Summit will center around the theme of "Inclusion and Transition: Each Enhancing the Other." Joe Xavier, Director of the California Department of Rehabilitation, will be the keynote speaker addressing transition in his presentation titled "If Not You, Who? If Not Now, When?" The presentation will include issues related to the transition in the time of COVID-19. The disABILITY Resource Expo aims to provide full access to information and resources from a wide variety of agencies and organizations, to promote a better quality of life for people with disabilities in Champaign County and East-Central Illinois.

Military veterans transitioning from service to community college bring experiences that can be incredible assets to a classroom along with others that can be barriers to success. Hearing loss, a commonly overlooked disability in the veteran population, is often one of these barriers. The presenters will discuss findings of focus groups conducted with student veterans with hearing loss that provide insight into the unique educational needs of these students and best practices for their success in the STEM classroom and how they can be applied in the online setting.
